Energy Co-ops Ireland’s plans to establish a large co-operative in the midlands are moving apace.
ECI hopes that their initiative will ensure that local people are kept fully involved in any renewable energy developments there, and are engaging with local cultural, sporting and political organizations seeking their input into the new co-operative.
The meeting on October the 10th, the first of many planned throughout the region will have a range of speakers from various technology, co-operative and community groups and promises to be a significant moment in the development of renewable energy technology in the region.There has been considerable media interest in the proposal most recently with an article in the Meath Chronicle.
ECI intends to publish a list of speakers appearing at the event closer to the meeting date
